- The pump stops when a breaker or protective device trips.
- Water is visible where the motor connects to the pump.
Motor work or a complete pump?
The motor drives the pump, while the housing and internal water-moving parts form a separate part of the assembly. Depending on the model and fault, a repair or motor replacement may be appropriate. A damaged housing, unavailable parts or the overall condition may change that recommendation.
Help us identify your equipment
Send a clear photo of both the motor label and pump model if they are accessible. Tell us whether the motor starts at all, how long it runs and whether the issue follows a particular schedule.
Repeated electrical trips need diagnosis. Do not repeatedly reset the breaker or open the motor's electrical compartment.
Questions before you book
Is motor replacement the same as pump replacement?
No. A motor replacement retains the compatible pump housing and other serviceable parts. A complete pump replacement changes the assembly; the estimate should identify which option is proposed.
Does a tripping breaker prove the motor is bad?
No. The motor, wiring, controls and other electrical conditions may need attention. The symptom alone does not establish which component should be replaced.
Can a replacement motor work with my automation?
Compatibility depends on the pump, motor and controls. Share the model information so the proposal can address the equipment you already have.
