A useful starting point
- The controller brand and model, plus the app you use.
- The exact error message or a screenshot of the failed command.
- Whether the same function works at the outdoor control panel.
- Any recent router, Wi-Fi, equipment or schedule changes.
Separate the command from the equipment
An offline app, a relay problem and an actuator that does not move are different faults. We focus on the function you report and the controls involved. A controller replacement is not the automatic answer to every communication issue.
Repair with compatibility in mind
The estimate should identify the repair or replacement and explain compatibility with your existing equipment. If the fault is in the heater itself, the heater diagnostic scope and fee apply.
You do not need to share your Wi-Fi or app password in the booking notes. We can discuss any access needed during scheduling.
Questions before you book
Does an offline app mean the control board is bad?
No. Network connectivity, settings and communication hardware may be involved. The panel and app behavior help narrow the investigation.
Can you support my specific automation model?
Send the model and app name before the visit so we can confirm support and any relevant parts or access requirements.
Will an automation repair include a heater repair?
Not automatically. If the problem is in the heater or heat pump, that work has its own diagnostic scope and $275 fee. We clarify the service needed before proceeding.
