What to tell us
- Your filter type: cartridge, sand or D.E., if known.
- The current pressure reading and its usual reading when clean.
- Whether the issue started after cleaning or other equipment work.
- Where the leak appears, or what is returning through the pool jets.
Pressure is a clue, not a parts order
A pressure change does not by itself mean the filter tank or media has failed. The filter, gauge and surrounding circulation conditions may need to be considered. Debris returning to the pool also needs a different investigation from water leaking at a connection.
Component repair or tank replacement?
Some filters have serviceable seals, gauges and internal parts. The condition of the tank, model and compatible parts determine the recommendation. A damaged pressure vessel requires particular care; do not attempt to patch or tighten it while operating.
The estimate will identify the proposed work. Cleaning or replacement is not automatically included in a diagnostic booking.
Questions before you book
Does high pressure mean I need a new filter?
No. Compare it with the normal clean reading and the manufacturer's guidance. Cleaning needs and other circulation issues should be evaluated before replacement.
Can you repair a cracked filter tank?
A cracked tank should not be treated as a routine seal repair. Stop using the affected equipment and arrange an assessment; a replacement may be needed.
Should I open the filter before the visit?
No preparation inside the filter is needed. Filters operate under pressure and require the manufacturer's servicing procedures. A photo of the label and visible issue is enough.
