Useful information before a visit

Water loss does not have one universal cutoff
Evaporation, splash-out and equipment use can affect the level. A single daily measurement does not pinpoint a leak. The pattern and site conditions help determine which investigation is appropriate.
Agree on tests before they begin

Does losing more than a quarter inch a day prove a leak?
Not by itself. Conditions and pool use affect water loss. A measured pattern is useful evidence, but it does not establish the cause or location.
Does one diagnostic price include every leak test?
No blanket test package is implied. The investigation depends on the symptom and site; confirm which checks, tests and fees apply before proceeding.
Can you locate every leak without disturbing the deck?
That cannot be promised before investigation. If access work is proposed, the scope should explain what may be disturbed and how restoration will be handled.
