Expert Pool Valve Repair & Replacement
Valves are the traffic controllers of your pool's plumbing. When they fail, leak, or seize up, your equipment can't filter, heat, or circulate water correctly. FixMyPool provides expert diagnostics, rebuilding, and replacement of all diverter valves, check valves, and multiport valves across Tampa Bay.
Common Valve Issues We Resolve:
- Spa Draining Into Pool: If your raised spa is empty in the morning, a check valve has failed, allowing water to flow backward through the plumbing. We replace the internal flapper to restore the seal.
- Stuck or Broken Handles: Older PVC ball valves often seize in the Florida sun. We cut these out and upgrade them to serviceable Jandy-style diverter valves.
- Leaking Diverter Valves: If water is dripping from the handle of your 2-way or 3-way valve, the internal O-rings are failing. We can often rebuild the valve without cutting any pipes.
- Water Discharging to Waste: A failing spider gasket in a filter multiport valve will cause water to constantly leak out the backwash line.
Repair vs. Replacement
Many high-quality valves (like Jandy or Pentair) can be rebuilt simply by replacing the internal diverter and O-rings, saving you the cost of re-plumbing. During our $150 diagnostic visit, we inspect the valve housing. If the plastic is cracked, a full replacement is necessary. The $150 diagnostic fee is fully credited toward your repair.
